#1 Field Carriage
This carriage fits the 6 Pdr Gun, 12 Pdr Field Howitzer, Ordnance Rifle or 10 Pdr Parrott. It is the earlier/Prewar Pattern, correct for all tubes, made here in our shop. Our carriages are crafted from Kiln Dried Oak, the parts are Cast Steel, or Polished Bronze. Lovingly made by our craftsman and ready to drop your tube right on.

1st Model Prairie Carriage
This is a version that has separate cheeks and looks generally like a scaled down #1 Field Carriage. It fits Mountain Howitzer, 9 Pdr CS Gun and with slight modification the 2.25" CS Mountain Rifle. The wood is Kiln Dried White Oak, has a solid axle for live fire and is made here in our shop.

For our carriages, all wooden parts are furniture grade white oak laminated with waterproof
glue. The wheels are made by Amish Craftsmen. All metal parts are
steel, cast or fabricated. Our
carriages are an exact reproduction of the carriages used during the civil war. In fact, with
the use of steel instead of iron and
kiln dried wood with laminations, these carraiges are
even stronger and more durable than the originals.
All parts are made to the Mordechai specifications.
